How strongly do I feel about the importance of what you and your colleagues accomplished by leveraging your hard-earned platform for the greater good? Strong enough to become a paying subscriber and purchaser of the mentioned books. I wish I could buy all the entries, but to quote an old movie, "a man must know his (credit card) limits..." I am an admitted hypocrite being equally influenced by and hating review culture's guarded gates, and suspicious, yet a reader of, algo-driven social media (of which Substack is a part). I hope many committed and undiscovered literary writers find some hope because of your work.

As a hybrid publisher, I appreciate it whenever influential people from the literary world recognize the existence of quality among the ranks of self-published and other non-traditional authors. Now I wish the right person would organize the same kind of contest for self-published or hybrid-published serious nonfiction, which is my personal speciality. So far, self-published fiction seems to be doing better than nonfiction at attracting broad-based attention.
